Can any one help
I have a 1700 diesel from 1987 ,Well actually is from 1985 but it was originally a petrol and some parts still are but the reconditioned engine is a 1700 witch it appears they only made after 87 !
Any way I have had a problem with leaking coolant .It was thought that it might have been the core plugs but after dismantling and discovering they were fine a broken seal was discovered witch blocks the water between the pump and its connection to the rest of the engine .
I cant find a part number for this simple pice and am hoping some one can help.
The garage I used put in some kind of compound with out consulting me and now there is still a small leak as they said they could not find the part so I want to find it and tell them to fix it properly .
Can you help me find a water seal for a 1700 diesel

Any idea what its made from?
you may be able to make your own if so..
I have made a few from Aircraft fuel tank seals, cut to correct size, glued and stuck in with plenty of sealant / gasket stuff.
