Anyone have any experience of any bodyshops in Norn' Ireland. I was thinking of doing it myself but seem to have missed the annual allocation 4 weeks of decent weather and painting a van isn't going to be easy in the next 48 weeks of drizzle.
I've gone through the yellow pages and there are a few "possibilities" but i don't like the thought of leaving my van to a, possibly very expensive, unknown quantity.
The other possiblity is a bodyshop in the west of Scotland. Like most other people from here i'll probably be going there to get my MOT so i could drop the van in then....
Cheers
Dave

I'm in the same boat.
I asked a guy I know who is an excellent painter, but only does motorbikes who was the best in the area, and he recommended a mate of his.
I went out to see this fella last night, but he's out of action until September as he's hurt his back, though he had a good poke round to see what was needed.
He also mentioned that 2 pack paints are being banned from the end of the year and after that it will have to be water based.
When I get mine done with him in September/October (back permitting), I'll report back.
I'm in Coleraine btw.

Hi Dave,
I'm near you, just down the road in Newtownards !
If you check outt www.nboc.org.uk
Alot of them recommend a guy John Massey who's just between Bangor and Carrowdore. I've had the van down to him a few times for mechanical work.
He's got alot of beetles and older cars on their way to restoration and does spraying and bodywork.
Ask a few questions on nboc they're all friendly wiht local knowledge
Cheers, Mark
