Stansted area for a wild camp?

We are off to Denmark next weekend. Driving from Scotland to Harwich then the ferry over.

To break up the journey for my wife and 5 year old they are leaving a day later and flying down to Stansted where I shall pick them up. We will get there the night before and are looking for somewhere to park the van and sleep overnight. Anybody in the area got any ideas of a quiet corner we could use?

Thanks for that. That gives me some options, although I think we will get into the area that late we could stop anywhere and nobody would notice.

There was a nice westy camping for about 3 weeks a few months back in a lay by on the A120, two lay bys opposite each other he seemed to chop and change side of the carriageway, that maybe an option just for one night, or Birchanger services, thats only a few minutes drive to the Airport.
