Re: splitting sliding windows
Drill the rivits out and pull it apart.
Re: splitting sliding windows
Just to make it clear, are you wanting to remove the sliding window from the frame, or split the frame? Also, is it a factory sliding window?

Re: splitting sliding windows
There's a video on youtube, (I think someone on here put it up) that shows how to remove the sliding glass.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80AVBVjD0LQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcppIBol5gQ" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
it didn't quite work for me though so I just pressed the frame gently to get the glass out with the runner still in place. The frame was only slightly overlapping the window runner, less than a mm.
Someone else may suggest this isn't a good idea, but it worked for me. I'd wait for the opinion of a seasoned sliding window removerer first though before listening to me.
As for removing the non moving glass from the frame, if you really want to do it, I'd probably just work out how it went in and try and work backwards through that process. Someone else might have some better advice for you though.
