hi all ive just bought a new radiator from brickwerks for my 1.9 dg , just taken the old one off and the no.s on top correspond to the radiator on brickwerks that fits a 1.6td and 2.1 wbx and is a thicker rad than the one i bought does this matter ? cheers jeff

Is your old one 44mm or 34mm thick.

looks like its 43mm thick rob seems my vans a miss match of all sorts lol

Very odd.Maybe someone has put the wrong one in at some point.Theres no reason that i can see.Why your new one wont do the job.

Are the auto rads bigger?
for the tranny cooling and all that

better of with the bigger rad jeff it wont cause any problems i have fitted plenty without any problems or overcooling

I might do that then if there's no issues.
Bigger rad = better cooling

problem is my new rad is the smaller one , the one thats supposed to fit my van lol , i also noticed ive got a 3 pin fan switch wasnt that supposed to be on later model vans ?

to be honest kev i just decided to change it rather than flush it outive had a few issues with cooling in the past and thought id just change as much as i can for new bits , hardest part was getting the rods out that hold the spare wheel up !

i seem to have hot water in the main water bottle but cod water in the rad ? :(
