Hi
After having problems with the old boy recently (the van that is) symptoms stalling at idle when temp up, intermitent poor running also when hot. I gave him a slightly overdue service, changed normal things rotor arm, dizzy, fuel filter etc etc. Still run poorly so I had a good look around and noticed the adjustment screw on the pull down unit had stripped its thread and was locking the unit in place. Put a new one on and finally I am getting to my question, the new unit had to be adjusted with the screw as far as it could be without running out of thread, did it correctly as far as I am aware 3mm gap, idle screw on highest step of cam. The old boy is running ok but I cant help feeling this is not the way. Any enlightenment would let me sleep slightly better. Oh 1.9DG 2E3,
Cheers, boy its too hot for Gardening, give me a beer
