to make sure i can hear you all laughing at me when i come over to SP i was looking on fleabay at cb kits, are there any particular models that i should be looking at or more importantly staying clear of????

I wouldn't bother! I have just installed a CB in my van and there is no one else around. I have heard a couple of truckers on one evening and thats it. I have put out calls and have had absolutely no response at all!

I've just fitted one of these and the range seems good.

I agree that you don't get many others on air. But we use these when we are in groups whilst green laning etc.

We got a good deal from Thunderpole just before Syncro 25. We bought 3 sets which were starter packs and all worked fine. Plug n play like .....
