Buddy seat / potti box

Post by Holydiver »

Here’s my dilemma
A couple of years ago I managed to pick up a westy middle seat option for my Atlantic (right cloth) but never got around it using it (other than a photo shoot :ok ) as there’s normally three of us in the van unless my eldest lad is over. I’ve also got a westy potti box which is left in the van as it’s handy for the little one to use when out and about.

The downside is I can only have one of these fitted at anyone time, plus the middle seat is not light and is a pain to move about, it’s also taking up room in the garage.

So I’ve been thinking about incorporating the two into one? by turning the double seat into a single and mounting it on a base with a porta potti underneath.

Anyone done this before?
Is it a good idea?
Anyone got any views in this?
Is it a waste of a very good middle seat & potti box?
Atlantic westy 91, Golf mk1 cabrio and looking to add a syncro to the list :-)
