DOOR MIRRORS PROBLEM FIXED I HOPE!

Like a number of people I had problems getting my new mirrors to stay where I set them. Above 50mph and they were blown out of kilter. After much twiddling I seem to have found the answer. It relates to the thread that the adjusting nut fits onto. Not enough of it. So I took the mirror off the door, took the nut, thin washer and spring off. I then put a couple of thick washers in replaced the spring and thin washer and the adjusting nut. Seems to have worked for me.

It is annoying on the occasion that you buy pucker stuff made in Germany that has not been manufacture properly. Still problem solved although I haven't been able to drive at 70mph to really test them. Fingers crossed.

Good tip, I have managed to successfully tighten my passenger side, but my drivers mirror adjustment broke, but stayed in the tight position, so I simply applied superglue for the time being until I source a pair of Syncro Mirrors.

Obviously you missed my post on an easy and cheap solution - grease your ball, add sand and reassemble - guaranteed fix!

If it doesn't work at 70mph I will follow your advice and grease my balls and add sand. Hopefully it won't be necessary

Test run at 70mph complete. The washer solution has worked so no need for grease and sand option.

I have same problem on my T25. Do you need to take off the door card to access anything the door mirror is fixed to ?

No. Provided that you have standard door mirrors. Each mirror should be screwed on with two phillips screws on the outside of the door. So no need to remove anything inside. Should be straightforward unless a previous owner has bodged them.
