just a bit stiff!
Hi gang, was just wondering if your magic minds could offer some advice. Please.. Now I am aware that the T25 gearbox has a mind of it's own and you do sometimes have to persuade the odd gearchange, which I can accept as "just the way it is" but my gearbox tends to struggle mainly getting into reverse, wether hot or cold, slightly better when cold in fact, ...but more annoyingly , going from 4th to 5th is ......well....interesting
sometimes better than others, no difference wether hot or cold after 5mins or 3hrs.. but is a regular occurance . Any ideas?? P.S. Tis a 1.6jx TD 114K has been serviced and stamped up. Fanx.

if its bad changing hot and cold your gearbox has evil within it, it requires having it's evil spirits exorcised by Aidan the gearbox Shaman.

Firstly remove cover under gear stick and check the nut is tight, while your down there check condition of guide blocks, new can be bought from Brickwerks, then renew all bushes(Brickwerks again)and then check alignment and adjust if necessary.
Then WHS^

The great big hairy one resides in a cave in LLanfyllin if you cross his palms with the trinkets known as pounds sterling it appeases the great gearbox spirit most agreeably. Although the Shaman has been known to talk to the great gearbox spirit most clearly when plied with the %5+ finest bottled real ales.

Maybe if you spelt the sharman's name correctly....Aidan, you might find what you seek as a member on here....if the icon is a small multicoloured panel, then you have found the man himself!
