I stand to be corrected but my thinking depends on how bad is the leak?
If not sure put an opened newspaper underneath with a few stones on to stop it blowing away, over night and have a look in the morning. If its just a few drops (that,s sort of normal for a T25 and pretty much any vehicle of that age). If this is the case then you may want to buy a tin of "Engine Stop leak" from pretty much any large garage or motorspares ( e.g Halford) always worth a try ).
If its a major leak from your picture it is probably one of two things! If it is definitely engine oil then chances are its your Crankshaft oil seal (flywheel end) part no. 068-103-051/G (think its the same on a Syncro) but not sure if its used on TD engines (it is on 1.6D and 1700D).
Or more unlikely going by your photo it could be gearbox oil (smell the leaking oil it has a very obvious pungent smell compared to engine oil, compare it to the smell of the oil on your dipstick it will be very different smelling) If it is gear oil then chances are your gearbox input seal has gone.
Either way if you decide to get it done its a gearbox off jobbie.
Best if Luck

There's no gasket for that, from what I can see its between the engine and bell housing.
If it is, look at the back of the engine at the rocker cover, if not that check pipework beneath that, if not that check slave cylinder (is fluid oil or brake fluid), if not that crank shaft seal, if not that sump gasket but it's leaking a bit high to be that.
your left hand arrow is the oil return from turbo to sump, joint may need remaking, but probably best to replace flexi pipe. Repro part available from Bwerks (but apparantly this can foul early bashplate)

If the oil is all coming from here disregard all my tips.......
No turbo on my poor 1700 (snail engine) so new one for me.
Looks like possibly crank seal and return joint redo turbo return pipe with sealant or ptfe tape not that hard but you'll prob have to do an oil change crank seal as the others have said is engine out. The good news is it's a diesel, which as aidan says have a problem keeping their fluids inside of them so its probably not too bad if it's not that much you can prob live with it helps to refresh your oil personally I wouldn't add oil leak stop myself would just try and fix it or live with it. Have a good look or ur engine may also be from the rocker cover also check that your breather pipe is not blocked or obstructed, which can manifest in new leaks good luck with it
Oil return pipe, change it put a flexi on it.
NB: Has the sump been tightened up prior to mating with the gearbox? Never bolt the sump tight as it could lead to oil leaks and sump crackage.
Actually, clean it off with some carb cleaner, take it for a spin, then you will be able to identify the suspect part more easily/hopefully.
No reason to put stop leak or whatever it is. Identify and cure.
