Re: doka sliding windows
i dont know about "as opposed to the silver ones" but i have these black ones on my doka and i just took the glass out, and put the window rubber on these instead and fitted them back as if they were the glass. easy.
i would guess that the silver ones are exactly the same except perhaps they have the push in plastic/chrome trim around the middle of the rubber. which you need a tool for.

Re: doka sliding windows
As far as I know the black ones were fitted to the Tristars.
I've got the siliver ones and they fit the same as the black ones, in fact I think the only difference is the black ones are anodised or some such.

Re: doka sliding windows
ah, i missunderstood the question.
my black ones were also off a tristar.
perhaps the silver ones were from the other special dokas like the de lux hunting ones whatever they were called?
or just the general optional extra windows if you were buying a doka.
i just googled tri stars and they all seem to have the black ones but it is a bit hard to tell in most cases.

No I have a hunting wagon here its a 16" jagdwagon but it doesnt have opening rears, that said it may not be a de-lux model.hotpod wrote:ah, i missunderstood the question.

I think that the velles and such that have thre chrome trim in the window rubbers would suit the silver ally frames whereas the more utalitarian working vans would use the black , also maybe less reflection on the black couild have its uses.

Re: doka sliding windows
Black version came standard on tristars and the silver versions were a option for the non-tristar trucks.
That's the rumor at least.
