The end is nigh - holes in outer sills

Ok, so MOT time is upon me and so I can the van the once over and low and behold disaster struck. I've got holes in both outer sills, one drivers side (LHD) near the rear which I've stupidly filled thinking it might do for now, and this morning I found a big one right at the bottom of the passanger side B-pillar. I also think the other B pillar is gone but I daren't go any further with the old screwdriver

Now we've just had our second child and we wanted to sell the van with a new MOT to make ends meet over the next few months and this has obviously royally messed things up. Moving house in June also means time is extremely tight. Is there any way to fix this up so that the integrity and safety of the van isn't comprimised? I can't weld (but know someone who can) but I don't want to and simply can't afford to replace the the whole sills and B-pillars.

Or should I just take what cash I can get for it either in one piece or in bits? The carbs were refurbed and balanced last year at a cost of 900€ so I should get a few bob for them and the engine runs well. Probably get a tidy sum for the captains seats and the futura camping fittings. Any advice here?

Considering your circumstances, then my advice would be to sell it as is.
If you start trying to repair it, it will quickly turn into a massive job, which you will have neither the time or money for.

I agree with boatbuilder, as I'm in the middle of my resto at the moment if you need a fast turnaround on your van don't even contemplate starting those works as they will undoubtately escalate when you open it up Probably not the most welcome advice I know

Dont go near trying to fix that up for short term or longer, move it on , stick it on the bay, if you go down the breaking route then are you comfortable stripping it and have you the time and space and can you get rid of the remnants. in your circ's i would get rid and cut your losses

Thanks folls, that's what I thought. Just needed it confirmed and pushed down the right path really. I'll stick it on the bay see if I get anything near what I think I could vs breaking it.

Put a reserve on it to stop it going for too little

My van is gone there. Just Vactaned it and carried on as normal. Gone through 3 MOTs no probs. Is it a big problem?
