brake fluid leek

brake fluid leek

Yet another problem,van went in for m.o.t last week passed, :D but when i got it home it was wet all over drivers side foot well, thought it was water at first .Turns out to be brake fluid, :( do you need to take all the dash off to get a look at it ,and what could be the most probable cause .thanks for any help

No just pop the top of the cluster off, then the plastic cover.....the master cylinder resevoir is under there, you can also reach the master cylinder from underneath....

Check the clutch master cylinder, thats under the dash........thats the one you can reach from below......not sure if the brake is reachable from below....sorry

I think it might be brake master cylinder. I need to get to have a look, taken top off. all i can see is brake resevoir

According to Haynes its instrument panel off to access the brake master......

been fidling about, leak seems to becoming out from behind brake pedal seems dry further up could it be clutch master cylinder, is this hard to replace. :?:
