Lincolnshire / Cambs Tech Day?

Post by Vladaria »

Hi All,
As I'm very, very new to owning a T25 and need to learn the
basics of Oil, Filter & Plug changing (+ any other basic maintenace)
how about an informal tech day?

I live nr Spalding in the countryside & my house benefits from a 115ft double driveway :) - so quite a few vans could fit on!
If a "guru" fancies lending their advice we could all learn
how to do stuff together and I'm quite happy to provide the tea,
bacon sandwiches and toilet facilities......
there's also quite a few nice areas to visit nearby and a
"proper" camp ground with hook up's at the end of the road (1/2 mile if that).

If lots of people fancy coming then I might be able to pursuade a local farmer to lend me a barn....

Any takers or suggestions for dates?

Not sure about teaching, but i'd be up for a meet, i'm 18 miles from Spalding, 25 from Boston and dont mind giving opinions on electricery and camper based stuff.......

There are quite a few of us round this part now, and after a long time of being out in this fenland wilderness on me own, there might be enough of us to make a meet locally......

put a call out to the others, there are a few round peterboro too....

Sounds like this might be a go-er!
If people wanted to stop over we can have a bar-b-que after
and a few beers...How about this weekend Sunday 6th August?
Could also do Sunday 13th at a push
(deeping Raft Race is that weekend)

(Harewood House is on the 20th & Run to the Hills is the 27th)

If anyone knows any others around Peterborough area
or are on any other forums can you extend the invite &
get them to reply here?

I'll get the WD40 in then shall I??

Yep he'd love babysitting
(in between tea making of course!)

Other things in and around Peterborough -
http://www.peterboroughevents.co.uk/August06.htm
Plus of course Cambridge which Always has plenty of stuff going on and is a lovely shopping city....then Ely is quite nice too and not too far from us.
Or Ice-Skating
http://www.planet-ice.co.uk/arena.php?abrev=pet
(also laser quest)

Nice Cathedral
http://www.peterborough.ac.uk/about_pete/Cathedral.asp

Peterborough also hosts one of the biggest beer fests in the country
(22nd - 27th August)
http://www.beer-fest.org.uk/index.php?module=info
& lots of PUBS!

So if it was this Sunday who could make it?
Myself,
Billybaby
Hacksawbob?
Poshbossuk?
Mocki?

toomanytoys - if you couldn't make this one but it was fun enough we could always do another - if you just fancied a cuppa & a chat you'd be welcome then too :)

Sorry to hijack this thread........

George what colour/age bus do you drive??? I work in ely and regularly see 3 different T25's when I'm out and about at lunchtime.
If you see the brown/beige one that's me!!!

Would love to make it for this tech session/meet but this weekend I'm refitting my camping interior then the following weekend I'm off to wales for a couple of weeks.
