Shotblasting Original Steel Wheels

Post by fish27070 »

Evening board, I was thinking of shotblasting my steel wheels and re-painting / spraying for a spruce up for the summer. I would also like to fit some spacers say 20mm front 25mm back, plus I would also like to lower my bus by up to 60mm. I have been reading up on the minefield of fitting alloys and different size tyres i.e. load rating etc..so I think for now I will stick with the original tyres. - will check in the morning to see how old they are ! - If anyone has any advice I would very much appreciate it.

Cheers guys & Gals. :ok

Why do you want to fit spacers? VW spent years on working out the proper dimensions for the wheels on the vans they made; have you got a better idea?

Seriously, leave well alone :ok

If you want to lower it, then buy decent quality parts and go for it, but by sticking your wheels 25mm further out, you will be not be doing yourself any favours
What a long strange trip it's been
