Hi there, have had problem with the radiator fan not working and any journey over 10 miles could put the T25 in peril. I checked the fan first to check if it worked at all by running cable by passing the thermo switch and yes it worked fine. Purchased another thermo switch but fan still did not cut in when needle rose well above half way. Exchanged for another thermo switch but fan still not working, fuse also ok. Any one shine any light on this. Cheers Kev.

What does this have to do with Rollering your van?
Back on track. I've updated the WIKI a little to make some areas clearer, included extra points and observations including more info on Vactan and rollers, and added Cruz's pride and joy. Also I get asked a great deal why we don't spray it and I talk more about that. Nothing technically to prevent it being sprayed but the whole project is specifically about rollering and doing things amidst time/budget limitations. Spraying is a whole science in itself and plenty out there already on spraying for those that want to go that route. Personally I like the fact that this method is open to anyone, regardless of their abilities, as well as its reduced impact on the environment, and the fact it contributes in a positive way towards protecting these vehicles from the ravages of the weather.
For the imaginative/creative, the possibilities are endless frankly.
Wow, it was exhausting to read this whole thread, but also inspiring, i'm definately going down the "rollering" route for our van, was wondering if anyone has used any of the reds, have heard that "ral 3000" is quite good, im hoping for a really bright pillar box red!
Covkid, have read the wiki several times, just wanted to say thanks, if it turns out half as good as some of the pictures, you will have saved me a fortune.
Quick question. I hope this one hasn't been asked, but this is a long thread and I may have missed it.
I have started the prep work for painting my van with a roller, and I also want to paint the pop-top. I am wondering exactly what to do with the textured pop top. I can't sand everything down without getting rid of the texture, so do I just do a quick once over with some sand paper to scuff what I can? What about using the spray paint just for the top and roll the rest of the van? Could I get a good enough finish on the top with spray? I am painting the van white, and the top is going to be either black or a dark gray.

Welcome to the club WhiteH2O..when you say the poptop is textured I asume you mean the texture imprinted into the fibre glass. If that is so then no you don't have to sand it smooth . The sanding on the roof will just be to give the paint something to key to. Obviously that texture will show through the paint whether you spray or use the roller, so save money and roller the pop top as well. The finish you achieve depends on the final flating and polishing once the rustoleum has hardened( several weeks or months if you do it in the winter) Mark
I just did some work on photoshop, and I decided against doing a black or gray top. The top looks like it will be painted white along with the rest of the van. I guess I will just hit the pop top with some relatively fine sand paper and roll it along with everything else. I didn't want to sand the texture of the glass off, but I was questioning if not being able to sand the inside of the textured areas would mean that the paint wouldn't stick there. I guess that isn't an issue then.
Okay, final question for now: mirrors and the other trim that is black, I will want to repaint those pieces, but what color are others using? I can't decide between flat, gloss, and satin black. I am leaning towards satin. Any thoughts on that?

I would go with satin. or paint them the same colour as your van
You can also paint wood with Rustoleum, even aluminium doors (which are always a pain to paint). Its very universal which is why we like it so much. If you want a very pale shade, ie a pastel, you just need a tin of white and a small tin of chosen colour (say red for pink) and mix that in to the white. Adding red to white is easy and predictable. Adding white to a colour is much harder and less predictable.
Roller paint your camper at home: http://roller.epizy.com/55554/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for MP4 download.
Now then covkid, is it possible to pre-mix rustoleum and the thinners and keep in a sealed jar so that it can be used as and when or will it separate /skin over?
Just a thought before painting the van a bit at a time.
