this is exacty want i have done with ny van, with all the new bushes it will feel tought and tight too drive, there will probobly be a few squeks as everything beds in, just go back in a few hundred miles and re tighten every thing. my squeeks disapeared after a week or so. rember that you will need to have your caster, camber and toe and 4 wheel alinement reset once that you have compleated your work, as i garentee it will all be out one way or anouther. one thing that may be worth changing is the stering rack bushes, these are the only poly bushes i have on me van (everything else are VW bushes) and they do sharpen up the stering alot.

yeh, all the old horrible squeaks have stopped and have been replaced by a new tight, happy squeak! its like getting used to a new van, its character has completely changed.
i didnt go poly bushes in the end, just thought a step to far to the firm. judging by the ride im kinda glad as edinburgh has the worst roads in the uk, seriously.
we have collosal road humps too and im getting airborn alittle and my lower body is getting a bit of a workout! the old ride was comfy and my landrover was too where in contrast with this set up its poised and twitchy, looking forward to put some load in her and feel the difference.
im gonna wait a week till i get the caster, camber, toe, allignment sorted, let it all bed in as you say. im gonna take a closer look at the steering rack bushes tommorow, see how they are, perhaps poly for there. not too much vibration coming thru the wheel with them is there?
ive got a week till the exhaust and bearings for the back wheels arrive and shes also getting the carb rebuilt in a weeks time.
oh and belts, service, starter motor, big battery.
oh, dear, oh dear, oh dear.

got battered by winds on the motorway on sunday ( proper battered - real gusty side on stuff ) a massive improvement on new springs. the dodging and weaving white knuckle stuff is no more.
