Well I've give myself a deadline for next summer all mot and sorted. Ready to take the kids away. That's as realistic as I can be. Money's tight and so is getting time to do the van. But il probably be comfortable with my deadline. Getting it resprayed AS SOON AS THIS WEATHER BREAKS.

Luckily enough I had a lot of time when I was in the army to get all my welding done. So now it's just body work and paint and interior oh and engine! Not much really haha

Took the day off work today to take advantage of the weather and got a hell of alot done on the van. I started off by wiring my 240v hook up and have power in the van now for when I'm at camp sites. Then made a start on the body work. I'm pretty well pleased with my work. It's not professional paint work but as far as I'm concerned it is compared to what it was!! Take a look see what you think.

Well over the last few weeks I've achieved the square root of F all. Got the first coat on the whole van( well apart from where the window is going) tonight I managed to get a few hours in the van and wired in some lights rather swazzy I must say.

Well today I've finally put the kids window in. Let me say the amount of filler on that back panel is f****ing ridiculous honestly. Anyway rant over. Was a little nervous taking an angle grinder to her at first but soon got over it. All in all it went well. Not any snags at all. Next task is to take all the filler out of the panel and pull /hammer some dents out. Also this week I have wired in my sound system and my god it makes your teeth rattle. But looks the dogs nads the kids already sit in the van and say dad can I watch scooby doo in the van. Bless them. Anywhere here's some pics.

Finished off my R&R bed this evening aswell as stripping down rear wheel hub. To my surprise bearings seals etc were spot on. Took me 2 hours to get the hub but off though even took it to work and got the oxyacetylene out still didn't budge so last resort grinder. Didn't touch the threads l though!

Thanks Dave but I've had a change of plan. That van is going to go as I have a new one.
