I'll probably be needing a new exhaust system (having engine swap at moment)..I'd be interested in joining a group buy to save cash!
Choice is either buy SS system & get it fitted elsewhere (Just Kampers sell a SS system for £525) or get it all done by supplier (JP? Brickwerks?).....
I was wondering how much (roughly) fitting would cost - I'm not keen on these open ended bills which always seem to grow £££...
There was a seller on Ebay based in Leeds, advertising a full stainless exhaust system for T25s, price including fitting, about £550 as I remember...
I'll shop around for a stainless system, then get my local garage to fit it, he's on with the engine sway & I'm waiting for his verdict on my old exhaust......joining a group order would be good..........

Fitting a new standard exhaust to an engine in the van takes about 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours. Taking an exhaust off an engine takes from 1 to 101 hours depending on what undoes and what shears off, a snapped stud while the engine's in and it can be engine out etc etc This is why you should never let the semi-tame baboons down at $h it Fit anywhere near your van.

Yes....But most of those $h it Fit centres don't want your T25, they only want the easy jobs...I had trouble finding a garage for an exhaust job on the last van. The garage I did use made a mess...I won't go back there....
I doubt you will get any group discount as brickwerks flog tons of them at the price they quote. So much so that their supplier currently struggles to keep up. That's even if you could find and organise enough people to make it worthwhile.
The price you see on the two site is the price you will currently have to pay
Not to be accused of being a PR for the two companies above there is the vwspeedshop system which is baed on the early system but fits on all vans
I take it you have read this from "Stainless Systems & Where To Buy Them"??

Which is why all but the simplest but time consuming jobs are best done by those who cherish the vehicle most .... i.e. YOU.

Register with Brickwerks quoting your club membership details and you will automatically see everything with a small discount applied.
The late SS system complete a few weeks ago was £618 ish (discount applied) about 5%.
OK....it's around £100 more than others but does follow VW pattern so gives 'modular' options.
I had the exact same senario just a few weeks ago regarding labour, I ended up paying more than anticipated as my mechanic ended up spending over 3 days...to be fair he did fit a clutch, spigot and starter bearing at the same time. Based on the time he took (about 28 hours) the hourly rate was cheap but it was still a fair wedge.
Reckon on at least one brocken stud that needs drilling/tapping, this could be 'engine out' depending on which one snaps.
