Was the front left spinning? ideally stick the front locker on but not the rear.. any drive getting to the front ought to drag it forward.. I ran my doka with only front locker for a while as had borrowed a non locking box off Aidan while he did mine, very surprising how much it pulled it through.. but my VC is stiff..

Jed
I've two cores going to Dorf today, but one of the customers has just stuffed his syncro into the back of a transit in the snow, written off the transit obviously and probably written off the syncro as deformed deform member and doors popped, driver was ok no broken anything, just a bit bruised and shook up 25mph on snow into stationery vehicle blinded by low sun no avoiding action or braking, shows how tough they are, so will have one for sale :ok

Intermittent Vc - similar to Jeds Video
As mentioned previously by others, Aidan fitted a Jaegar sourced New Vc in my Van in july '08, It has failed open a few times, it was exchanged yesterday with a recon swiss one & tested in the snowy foothills of wicklow today.
I am happy to report we have a result ! :ok A syncro at last!
There is no apparent leak from the Visco, the used oil smelt the same as new oil. possibly the "new" Viscos are past their sell-by Date & have spent too long gathering dust. It remains to be seen if Bernt Jaegar will stand over the "new" vc. Approx 7000 miles since it was installed & has always run matched tyres with equal wear.

Glad tidings from Ireland indeed
I also heard today that the vc cores arrived in cuckooclock land yesterday, so much for ParcelforceEuro48 delivery service, bet Walter says the delay was our end :D , still they were 1/3 the cost of every other company but only through parcel2go
fingers crossed he says they are ok to rebuild
