Many seem to have solved this by simply using a cable tie at the bottom of the vent. This diverts the water away quite nicely. Fella you need to speak to is AngeloEVS as I know he did this although using a watering can on the roof, you can get some ideas of the route and where to put the tie.

Great thanks for the tip, I'd read about the cable tie trick too so will have to give that a try
seems like a bit of design flaw though hey lol
