Yes a Leisuredrive and a Westy are two completely different animals. The only other suggestion I could make is to try turning the rear section through 180 degrees and see if that makes a difference.

You could always put a new post in the 'Campers' forum entitled 'Help, Leisuredrive owners' and possibly get a better response - you could put in a link to this thread too.

Problem is my Leisuredrive was sold back in 2005 so I'm just working off memory whereas an owner can just have a look at their van and you never know, there maybe another owner half a mile from you......

My Leisuredrive does not have wood under the foam over the engine bay, if that helps at all

we are new to this as well, and finding the foam cushions give you backache in the morning, although it wears off quickly! I think maybe the foam has never been renewed in the 23 years of her life and now due. also someone advised me to go to Ikea and buy a mattress topper! Frankiee88

There was a "thing" on dragons den a little while ago, which was a duvet with memory foam built in, for campers.

Do you think I can remember what the damn thing was called? :@
Any one know?

On a slightly seperate note but still bed related lol My bed is the same as yours but find the metal sliding posts at the bottom are forever coming detached!!! The small bracket screws keep coming out. How is yours fixed at this point?

Im no expert but after looking at a few campers when i was buying last year, i dont recall any of them having any wood under the rear cushion..They all have seemed to have a very thin corded type carpet or nothing at all under it.
Can you detatch the wood from the cushion (if it is attached) and try that ??
