That'll be gearbox input shaft seal (common, cheap to buy and if the gearbox has been out you'd have replaced that, right?) or flywheel oil seal.

the drain plug should have a magnet on it so it collects any fines that are floating around the box to stop them circulating and the build up of fines on the plug between oil changes gives a useful indication of overall wear, the reason I ask is that movement in the gearstick can be down to internal movement of the shafts inside the box (which is not a good thing) so I was wondering as to the state of the box overall.
If there's no magnet either it's been broke off or replaced with a filler plug, and you have to ask why ? The magnet can break off if the plug is dropped but they are pretty tough things generally, lack of magnet will lead to greater wear levels. Oil from input seal leak on a standard engine installation also suggests something not right as generally the seal lasts as long as the rest of the box, so could be input bearing failure or mainshaft bearing on the way out allowing excessive movement of input shaft and wear to oil thrower and seal as often seen on 1.9 diesel installations with no spigot bearing.

Errrrrr!!!

None of that sounds good. Not that I was expecting good news. Right, I think the oil leak is definately coming from the flywheel oil seal, had a good cleanup and the input shaft looks dry which is odd as I thought the clutch would slip? The movement is there regardless of gear change if I coast in any gear and pump the gas I get a tug on the gearlever. There's a guy down the road who specialises in T25's I think I'll pay him a visit with some cash.

Could it be, and maybe I should have mentioned this before... The engine mounts were changed a couple of weeks before the gearbox mount. Could I have over stressed the new engine mounts before changing the gearbox mount?

Better do another oil change and get that sump plug sorted.
