applying sound deadening & insulation to waxolyed panel?

I too will be getting my van back from the sprayers next week. I was thinking of using flash banding from B&Q or similar to soundproof doors, floor, bulkhead etc. A fraction of the cost of specialist soundproofing. Again not sure if it will stick to Waxoyl. Anyone got any experience using flashing & just how effective it is? Then the wiki method for insulation looks like the way to go

i doubt flashband will stick on waxoyl. as a rule, nothing will stick to waxoyl. the only thing that might work is if as above you coat it on thick enough to impregnate a thin insulation layer placed over it. are you sure you want to use it?
