I had JK seals fitted to mine around 3 years ago. They are shorter in depth than originals, as I had white paint around mine which needed touching up (I'd previousy had it sprayed without taking windows out). It looks now as though water might be getting in the rear side windows somewhere as there is quite a bit of rust beginning to form, despite having any holes repaired around the seal. Got me thinking now whether these should have had some kind of sealant applied too...

Just did exactly this. I've had wet mats after torrential rain for quite a while so ran aquatic sealant under the outside seal yesterday. I noticed the rain would always sit in the corners and presumably what eventually leads to rot under there. Rain was torrential today - hey presto dry mats

A little off the initial subject (I think) but:
When you have fitted the window dont forget to use a WOODEN or RUBBER hammer to knock the seal well into the frame. Unless you're a real hard case in which case you can just push the seal in with the heel of your hand!
