Money not wasted . They were fitted for a reason to stop over revving this engine which will not take it. Stops the piston coming up meeting the valves going down. Valve bounce and all that I suppose. Could be money well spent.

Get a s/h rev counter pod and you'll notice the revs always and also know much more about what's occuring under the bed and drive accordingly :ok

May be related but just done jaunt down to suffolk and feels like rotor kicks in at exactly 65mph - lol. It kept my speed down but not what i want really. Suspect thats the cause. If I rev it even a little above normal, feels the same as cut out rotor on over-rev. Will just wedge it for now...
