Money not wasted . They were fitted for a reason to stop over revving this engine which will not take it. Stops the piston coming up meeting the valves going down. Valve bounce and all that I suppose. Could be money well spent.

Get a s/h rev counter pod and you'll notice the revs always and also know much more about what's occuring under the bed and drive accordingly

May be related but just done jaunt down to suffolk and feels like rotor kicks in at exactly 65mph - lol. It kept my speed down but not what i want really. Suspect thats the cause. If I rev it even a little above normal, feels the same as cut out rotor on over-rev. Will just wedge it for now...
