Brown and blue looks good for pump

In Block C this is 1 & 6 respectively. Brown is live and blue ends up as green/white at pump. And it matter not which way round it's fed to pump? Correct?

Thanks a mil :ok

That's right polarity doesn't matter on the pump.
Everything has to be connected before the fan, glow plug, pump work in sequence.
Your brother will label things when he disconnects them in future will he not? Please :D
You'll get there in the end - it just looks daunting at first with all the wires.

Thanks Stu. I'll always try to lend a hand where I can.
Had quite a good weekend as it goes. Makes a nice change to not be doing toomuch work on a boat!
If not before, I'll see you at Fox & Goose. :D
Let us know how you get on with the heaters. If you need a hand again just give us a shout, never a problem!

Cheers Mark :ok

Still having a start up problems though. Together with new flame sensor, we connected everthing back but not able to get a fire up sequence established. We're confident with wiring now. So no problems there hopefully.

It's not electrical that's for sure. A bit of Easy Start vapour around inlet pipe got combustion rumblings & exhaust fumes for long enough to produce warm air at vent. But the ECU kept clicking telling the brain that fuel was not being delivered and to shut down. Which it subsequently did

Areas to consider now.....

Fuel pump's poorly sighted? I read somewhere pump should be no further than 1.3 metres from source (diesel tank). And as you correctly diagnosed the pump needs the 1.3mm bore piping to meter correctly. Yet Steve was told the pump position nearer to burner was better??? :?
Sunday morning (hint :whistle) we're gonna run fuel line making certain it's without loops or kinks. Personally I believe pump should be very near or even below fuel tank. Then gently slopes up to burner so any caught air bubbles travel quickly through system and stops undue strain on pump. What do you think? Also do these pumps pull fluid better than pushing it? If so then pump should be near burner? If opposite then pump next to diesel tank is better? Or is it equal pressure? So mount at middle distance between burner and tank?

Inlet and exhaust pipes must be connected to equalise pressure to prevent flame in heater being blown out. Any views on this?

Burner mat trashed.

CO2 levels incorrect and locking out ECU.

Open forum if anyone else has ideas of what to do :ok

Many thanks. Will call you if okay. What's your number again??? Just kiddin'

No PC til sunday night. So if anyone got any ideas please call 07961 423324. Will call you back so not to incur costs.

Thanks

Fuel pump close to tank.
slope pipe upwards continuously, absolutely no loops.Mount pump as low as possible to acheive this.
prime fuel lines before fitting to heater(touch 12/24v source across pump terminals until fuel is ejected)This is most probably your problem.
I've run, when bench testing, with no inlet/exhaust,12ft exhaust and no inlet, no exhaustand 6ft inlet etc. so that is not your problem.
co2 levels do not appear to affect ability to run, just control completeness of combustion.

If after priming and starting it still does not run for long, has the fuel metering been tampered with? (unscrew to increase fuel metering and vice versa)
Was the pump clicking?

yep, pump deffo nearest tank, and clean the pump filter if you havent already...... they will work with bigger bore pipe, but take loads longer to prime and get more air problems...... i used copper brake pipe on mine in the end, as i gave all my plastic stuff away then resited the ebber.doh!
