I was in the Watford branch on Wedbesday (not v. handy for Blackburn), and they have a huge sales campaign on lagging, low energy lamps etc, with crates and crates of it.
Our local Focus in Glossop has 2 for 3, but what would you do with all that?
From memory, Blackburn B&Q is quite a small one, so possibly only the big orange ones have it.

hi
my local is a big B&Q and its has all insulation 241
After finishing the insulation on wed I would now say 2 rolls is best as I also did under the floor between the base board & metal of the van, more pics to follow soon
Also used loads on the tailgate (its my head end), did the flat bit and all around the inside

makes me really want to rip mine out! found a wet spot int he cupboard and little rust on outside seam am also worried its coming from inside, want to keep my cupboards tho so be a carefull job!
Justa quick question, i have no experince in doing this or campervans! what i am asking do you think this could be done still? is it hard/easy, how long does it take? i want to install a new rock and roll bed in mine anyway so could be perfect time to do it ( before i install lpg next year!)
looking good x

Hello
Well last weekend I managed two 12 hour days on the van and got loads done. Insulated the tailgate, all the cards have now been recovered and refitted and I got the RnR bed back in have added more photos here

To be honest I had no experience before I started. Last year I would never have dreamed of trying this.
My fridge was acting up so I had taken it out a few times and this gave me the confidence to give it a go.
As for how long it depends on how much you want to change, I'm stripping it all (didnt plan to do it all!) My girlfriend kept saying 'well you have done this bit, you may as well take this & that out too....'
So now i have taken all the trim edging etc etc out (latest photos), recovering the hightop and all inside panels and cushions, floor, replacing the sink waste (snapped taking it out as the plastic was brittle)......the list goes on, but it will be done right once and I will know the van inside out
I would say I have spent at least 10-15 days on it overall so far, ripping everything out only took a weekend. TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS!! cant stress this enough, I also bought a plastic box with lots of campartments and same type screws/bits & bobs go in each one which has helped with putting it back together. Some people mentioned bagging up the screws and fitting that go with each section but the interior seems to use about 4 to 6 types of screws and fittings so its not too hard to see where they should fit back.
You will learn what works and what doesnt as you go, I've listed all the suppliers I have used which should help and if you have any probs just PM me. I would do it before you fit the RnR bed and LPG, its been a pain in the a*** working around the LPG tank - LOL
Also B&Q have the insulation on offer, 2 rolls will do the van and 80 sqft of sound deadening stuff.
If you decide to do let me know how ya go.
