I'd be changing the whole set of leads out
The connector at the spark plug is 1k on its own, the total resistance should be 6K ohm +/- 1400 ohm, the lead itself has no resistance, so there was a resistor built in the cap that plugs into the dissy
the king lead should have a resistance of 2k ohm +/- 800ohm
