Did mine a couple years ago with the windows in the van (limo black). Good finish but after a while where the plastic shrank about a milimeter and it let the light in around the edges.
The vehicle had a spray job last year and I took the oppertunity to replace the window rubbers. Whilst the glass was out I cleaned em off and re-applied new film right to the edges. The sliding windows I took the frames appart and did the same. The back window was a bugger because of the curve in the glass, if I remember correctly it was better to squeegy from side to side rather than up and down. small ripples can be got out with the aid of a fan heater which dries all the water out behind the film when you apply it.

Did mine , but I took out all the glass and took it to a tinting shop, top job and cost 120 quid. That was down south though but gives you an idea.
