we had Pete with us all day to help with the exhange and refit the gas.
Yes, it would need gasure personnel!

Had all the ancillaries on the replacement engine - just stripped the injectors off and put the carb on. I suppose that Pete did all the business with the manifolds etc. Certainly did not buy a new water pump - would have remembered spending money!!!

hi joe i run a 2.1dj fuel injection new vw dealer engine last june attaining 25mpg average ok i dont push it over 60mph but hope to gas it this year.hope all goes well on conversion.regards jim.

25 quid on a water pump and fitting it while engine is out is a lot easier..

never know what the pump on the second hand engine has done... unless you know yours isnt too old.
