Just a thought, lpg forklifts
Some big companies using lpg forklifts have large lpg tanks and refill their own bottles, does anyone here work at a company like that?
Obviously they have special valves so the bottle can be on it's side but what about refilling?
Making standard gas bottles refillable??

in 2005 i slept in my camper 88 nights, and on average one 4.5kg bottle lasts me 10 nights*, that was 9 bottles in a year at £14 or there abouts at a time, stupidly expensive, and would have been almost double that if i had been using CampingGaz.
you do the sums, refillable is the way to go.
*depending on use of fridge , and including "days out" where we were brewing tea and using the fridge, making toast, pancakes and frying bacon.

thats how I worked it out but,
you spent say 150 in the year, if you get a big bottle/tank thingie add on a remote filler kit and you are at 150 but you still need to buy a years gas for the new bottle/tank.
I agree refillable is the way to go but I believe the bottles will get cheaper and more varied in size and shape (in my research I found a lot of new foreign built motorhomes, as most are, don't have english bottle size gas cabinets), it's a relatively new thing and can only get better.
Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it
