Anyway - same price worldwide pretty much whoever you buy them from. Although its the usual potluck if customs add 10% + 17.5% etc...

Hi Jake

it was not so much the cost of the parts, more the import duties and VAT etc
could have flown to the USA and had a weekend break and picked them up in person
ok slight exageration :D

I couldn't agree more - it would almost be cheaper to do that and bring a few lots back. Just make sure you walk through the green channel

Although I think the penalty for smuggling "gear" is pretty hefty...

Some 'teeth' are also a serious matter, better check the endangered species list first...

Duty

Post by blurb55 »

Got caught with this when getting the new poptart canvas for the Westy. Should have got my colleague who lives 2 miles from Go Westy to buy it and send it as a gift - exempt from duty and vat i believe.

You can also get industrial samples sent though duty free whic may be possible.

Can see the Syncrovelle (kinda has a ring to it) parked outside, only live 2 miles from my office but I may go the long, muddy route home :D

A friend took pity on my vanless situation. So I'm currently driving:

Metallic blue 2.1 Syncrovelle with the large opening sunroof, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows, Heated Seats, Webasto... etc etc.

:D

haha - the bodywork is incredible on this one - for a 20 yr old vehicle in original paint, it always amazes me. The grin factor from the stock 2.1 is plenty - let alone the grin factor from the Jap lump :D

Bodywork

Post by blurb55 »

Think anyone would notice if we swapped the bodies over?

The Scoobyvelle is heading for the body shop in the next 2 weeks. They have given a 7 day turnaround but have not seen what the ravages of DH ownership can do to a vehicle!!!
