That's cheap. Now all they need is a MK1 golf

Did you buy? I'm sure the lengths may be different as they all need trimming down a smidge to fit..2 door golf being the longest I suspect...to be honest for a breakers to charge 20 quid for those is expensive by my standards!monkeyboysee wrote:called into a decent scrapyard today. I ft they had a mk1 golf in, a a scraper and hockey stick would be £10 for the pair, which would be a total of £20.00 to me. compare that against £75.64 for the ones Cruz kindly listed form Brickwerks.
thats £55.00 that i could spend on something else, for something thats just tidying the van.

they didn't have one in, but i suspect it will be easier to find a mk1 golf than a T25!

If you want to be REALLY tight, swap the left outer for the right inner and vice versa - the inners are usually in much better nick. I replaced my outers with new, but the inners were mint.

Re: Do Golf parts fit
i'm already miles in front of you there.
the inner ones are really good nick, so my plane is to put them on the outside. when i take the outers off, they will undoubtedly falls into bits so i will be needing something for the inside. i'm currently looking to see what kind of self adhesive trims are available. i'm sure i've seen a roll of rubber, quadrant trim in a car parts shop in the past.
it not a question of being tight, we have a very limited budget in life, by being careful it means i can keep the van its a s simple as that.
