monkeyboysee wrote:called into a decent scrapyard today. I ft they had a mk1 golf in, a a scraper and hockey stick would be £10 for the pair, which would be a total of £20.00 to me. compare that against £75.64 for the ones Cruz kindly listed form Brickwerks.

thats £55.00 that i could spend on something else, for something thats just tidying the van.
Did you buy? I'm sure the lengths may be different as they all need trimming down a smidge to fit..2 door golf being the longest I suspect...to be honest for a breakers to charge 20 quid for those is expensive by my standards!

they didn't have one in, but i suspect it will be easier to find a mk1 golf than a T25!

If you want to be REALLY tight, swap the left outer for the right inner and vice versa - the inners are usually in much better nick. I replaced my outers with new, but the inners were mint.

i'm already miles in front of you there.

the inner ones are really good nick, so my plane is to put them on the outside. when i take the outers off, they will undoubtedly falls into bits so i will be needing something for the inside. i'm currently looking to see what kind of self adhesive trims are available. i'm sure i've seen a roll of rubber, quadrant trim in a car parts shop in the past.

it not a question of being tight, we have a very limited budget in life, by being careful it means i can keep the van its a s simple as that.
