Thanks Guys, this is very reassuring !
Well TBH I'm amazed. I didn't think there would be any rust in Paddy's stable and thought Aiden's van would be immaculate given all his meticulous work.
Mine is definitely a work in progress. I guess I have come to realise its never going to be a perfect bus, and I cannot convert it into a factory camper/caravelle.
It will remain a dodgy van conversion.
Hopefully I can do enough to preserve it for another 20 years. Even if I cannot get back to its original condition.
Thanks for sharing
Rich

Even tidy vans get the rough treatment every now and again.
There's nothing like free firewood from an oak tree.

Yeah, I share an MS250C with pater as we both dabble in woods and trees. Did a course and got qualified a few years back. I'm not scared of saws anymore, only of tall trees that I'm about to fell.
Doka tempting, but I can't afford/find time to do everything to the van I've already got. Maybe when the mortgage is paid off in 10 years I'll be minted and can afford y.e.t. a.n.o.t.h.e.r hobby/distraction.
