Hmmm, I was under the impression that it was a very expensive pain the a*** to import vehicles to the US. I saw some of the best T3s I've ever seen over the last three weeks in California, but obviously no dokas/pick-ups.

Yeah that was my understanding, from listening to others, talk of via Canada & all-sorts. Maybe its a case of who you know & what to say/write?

Have a look at;

http://www.autostadtwest.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Lots of info about importing cars into the States. If I ever decide to sell I'll probably take the van over there, do a few months travelling and then sell before flying coming back. Will probably pay for the trip and then some!!

Sounds like a good idea Rob, (I can see alot of Euro's putting their savings into Syncros :wink: ) but does the T3 " comply with all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS)"?

Come again?? Sorry, don't understand 'a lot of euro's putting their savings into Syncros' wink wink?? A guess the T3 must comply to some level as we seem to be losing a lot to the States.

Oh, its an on-going debate about the state of the Euro-zone finances.
What with the IMF looking for extra funds to build a Euro firewall & the US refusing to offer the bailout cash.
Lots of Euro money buying Gold, london properties & classic cars. Its only the ones at the bottom that will get caught, putting money into stuff/Syncros that you can sell abroad is not a bad idea for us all.
But hey, some still believe its all going to be okay & theres nothing to worry about. Lets hope they're right! :lol:

I'm with you now. Things are very bad here, looks like we're falling back into recession and going the same way as Greece. Maybe a long vacation to the States wouldn't be a bad idea!!

I'm with you on that! The US has got to be the most perfect country for a syncro. Baja to the South, Canada to the North & the Rockies right down the middle. Damn what am I doing here again..... Oh yeah two days of PAYE/Tax/NI/sick-pay nightmare!! Parish council being jobs-worth dicks & employees falling over breaking arms!!! FFS! :x :x :x

Off to Samba.com......... :run

Wait, don't forget our cheap $4/US gallon gasoline, massive offroad vehicle access in the West, and that our girls love your cute accents. Just bring me a set of Simex rubber and I'll set you up with all three!

PS - in fact the only problem I foresee is that our beer is too cold for your liking. Easily solved - just store it in your Westy fridge..... :D
