GSF only list the 2.1 Radiator, is this the same as the 1.9 rad?

when i bought a new rad for my 2.1 from vag the guy said the 1.9 was different but did not know how or why just diff part number and more expensive
Now running and fixing

i wouldnt worry about it, a 2.1 one can only be better if it is any different..... the body shell isnt any different, so it will fit.

The 2.1 rad (and 1.9 with aircon) is the same as the diesel, being an 068 part number and so should give better cooling, I'd be tempted to fit a genuine new thermostat at the same time to ensure it doesn't run too cool unless I was entirely happy with the old one.

Aidan, have you got a part number by any chance for a thermostat? What sort of money am i looking at?
