swivel seats ??

does anyone out there have pictures of swivel seat bases for a t3

Quite a few swivel bases bought on fleabay are incomplete with normally the welded plate and/or guide pieces that are missing. The guide pieces aid the swivel and prevent seat wobble.

This is the swivel base in my van. It is in 3 parts

Red marks on picture above are where 4 little plastic guide peices should be part number 251-881-320 (£1.34 from vw van centres) as pictured in the link below

Other plate with 4 swivel guides (251-881-319) upper attatched

guide piece upper 251-881-319 not sure if these are still available

Anyone know where you can get these guide pieces?

I've just phoned VW Heritage in Bristol - and they told me that they couldn't get any lower guides - 251 881 320.

Maybe someone has a better source that they could check for me please?

dont worry about all that numbers stuff, just stick a wanted ad in your local "loot" or keep looking on ebay, £60-70. dont pay any more. any less is even better....

i managed to get a genuine vw swivel base for £50

I got mine through the VW van centre in Manchester (trafford park)

Try contacting your local vw van centre. I got mine about 6 months ago and they ordered them from germany. About £1.20 each
