Hi guys,

I've lost all compression on #3 cyllinder and would like some advice on removing the heads so I can get down o the bottom of the problem.

Thanks in advance,

Drop the engine ( makes for a easier life )
you can remove the heads with the engine in the van but its back breaking unless you have a pit..

exhaust will need taking off , carb and manifold , rocker covers and rocker arms a few other bits and then ,undo the 8 head nuts and thats it really , hopefully the studs will be in fine fettle for you ,

it will either be the piston rings or the head itself , i take it you have checked to see if the vavles are closing ?

btw theres a pair of heads on fleabay atm .. nowt to do with me

Thanks T'Onion,

Was already planning on takin the engine out, like you say it looks a lot easier, if only to help me get those rusty bolts outta the exhaust.

Thanks for the advice,

Jamie
