Hi just a quicky i got a 86 1.9 watercooled but the problem is that the speedo cable ticks not to bad at slow speed put is at 40+mph. the needle shakes aswell before i take the dash apart has anyone had this problem before?????

Hi Andy

Try the nearside front wheel hub.
The connection may be worn or the split pin may have come out.

and at the other end the connecting housing for the speedo may have snapped, or the retainers have

Same here, I broke the connecter whilst sorting out the worm drive.
Which has come loose again......

Have to glue it this time........worm drive that is.

they're on just kampers for £15 should i just get one to save the head ache????? should i get the speedo cap 2????
