The 240V sockets in my Club Joker only work when the electric hook-up is plugged into the mains, you should have the original RCD and test switch in there as well.
If you want 240V without hook-up, you can buy an invertor to connect to your 12V leisure battery and run 240V stuff from that, watch the amps though.

Mine doesn't have a test box under the seat. Probably cos it's an early one-1981-but I have hooked it up and in works ok. I had to plug a jigsaw in to make the speaker holes in the doors a bit bigger, and I couldn't find my extension lead, so I just pluged the hook up in, and used an adaptor on the jigsaw for the euro plug. Mine just has a black box to the left of the rear seat-underneath it-and this I believe is the unit for converting the voltage to 12v to charge the leisure battery. It looks like it could be part of the Eberspacher, but it's not. I think 240v going into it should be ok unless anyone else knows better?

Yes, the black box under the seat is the on-board battery charger, you should hear it switch in as soon as you plug in your land-line. I would seriously consider getting the elctrics wired through an RCD unit, 240V close to sinks and wet camping larks isn`t a good thing. Not a dera item to buy anyway, cheaper than a pine box
