Got in van drove to end of road, tried for second ....BANG , then put in gear but nothing in any gear drive shaft?? is it expensive any where in Bristol that can fix it ?
Any help would be great..

If it's not a drive shaft it could be the clutch plate has given up - it's quite common for the whole center to tear out. Get someone to try to apply power while you look at the drive shafts - if one moves at the gear box end but nothing else that shaft (or the CV joint) has gone, broken bolts should be obvious, if neither shaft moves and the bolts are ok it's likely the clutch or possibly the first motion shaft in the gearbox.
Why does the not quite finished job before last always conspire with the not quite started job after next to make what you should be doing now harder?
