Water coming in through gas vent

Post by funkypaul »

Hi. On my T25 I've got an electrolux fridge fitted but water seems to come in through the gas vent- it's not helped by the fact I park the van on a slope so it's easier for the water to get in. Is there anything on the market which you can put over the gas vent so water doesn't get in from above? (like a a cover or something), thanks, Paul

There should be a small plastic or stainless cover screwed to the body sid ethat covers the vent hole, the cover and the heat vent outlet should have a rubber gasket behind them to seal `em.

You will also get some damp behind the fridge when it`s running from condenstaion, this is the most common cause of rust from the inside seam of the sill and the floorpan, worth pulling the fridge out to see what sort of horry story you can uncover :(

Cheers for that, think I'll have to take the cover off to see how it's all set up. You put your finger on my concern though- rust behind the fridge is a bit of a hidden evil which scares me!
