Hi V-Lux,

Very nice panelvan, nice and straight.

The number of straight Syncro's in the UK is decreasing at an increasingly rapid rate, as I have witnessed first-hand, so can I add a dissenting note and suggest you be very careful what you do with it. Fixing body damage costs..

If you want to have fun off road, for god's sake get a total nail or even better a completely expendable L*ndr%ver and trash that instead !

BTW I've just completely re-done the interior in my ex-panel, so if you need any tips get in touch. Set aside at least a grand to do a half-decent DIY job, and avoid rockwool insulation at all costs.

Hi syncroandy,

Thanks for the comments!
It was a little bit straighter than that before a certain person reversed her into a tree.
Mentioning no names.....you know who you are....he he he...

But yeah, i hear you. Im keen to keep it as straight as possible, but we will be venturing into the mud for sure, it would be a crime to own a syncro and not put it to the intended use....even if it is a little tentatively.

Thanks for the offer of tips etc for the interior. I will probably be in touch. My girly and i have been trying to decide what to do with it so it fits all our needs.
It needs to accomodate a bed, some simple storage, leaving enough room to fit some mountain bikes in and something table like + power inverter for laptops, cameras etc.
But i also need to keep in mind that its also going to be carrying lumps of wood and dirty spades etc too.

So it needs to be functional but also hardwearing and easy to clean/keep clean. Not that i want much huh.

Im thinking that a large heavy duty dust sheet type thing might take care of the keeping clean part, so its really the rest of it.

Do you have any plans/pics of your conversion?

When Gandhi was asked what he thought of western civilisation, he said " I think that would be a good idea"

Sounds like you don't fancy hanging those mountain bikes off the tailgate - out of sight out of mind, maybe a cover over them 'cos thats a lot of room taken up inside, and mud!

Welcome too...
