Yet another heater question (Aircooled)

I was just wondering whether the heater on my 2l a/c bus is normal or not.
When I have the luke warm air set to waft out of the lower vent in front of the gearstick I get cold air coming out of the windscreen vents and vice versa. It's annoying that when I've got warm air coming out of the lower vent there is an icy blast coming out of the upper vent that I can't switch off. Is this normal or is my heater box wierd???

Sounds normally weird to me...............my heat exchangers have two settings.........none at all or full blasts of hot air..........i dont bother with any internal switches

Even after 6 months of ownership the heater controls are all still very mystifying, I just randomly move them about until I get something like I require. I'll be removing the heater control pods on friday as they are shot and replacing with aluminium duct giving my exchangers just the one setting

That is where you are going wrong............if it works don't touch it......in fact dont even look at it
