1990 1.6 td exhaust, fr discs and bearings

Post by Dave W »

Hi all, Have noticed that the exhaust backbox is wearing very thin and will start blowing before too long. Does anyone one know the best place to buy a new one as I want to renew box, pipe, tailpipe bolts etc. I notice both GSF and just kampers do replacements has anyone any experience of these. Also want to know the same for the front discs and wheel bearings? Are any of these items difficult to fit or are their any pitfalls to watch out for. Can any of you advise a newby to T25 mechanics..Thanks

Replaced my front disks&pads 1.6td 1990 .There are two bolts that hold the cast iron part that the brake caliper bolts on to.it can be difficult to unbolt.I used a halfords universal wheel bolt removal bar .Usefull as an extension socket bar it gives plenty of lever to undo them.

If you are anywhere near to Rochdale (seen you location tag) then Brakes International take some beating for brake parts, good gear at low prices, lots of OE stuff as well.
