Intercooler question
Can I fit an intercooler to my 1.6TD and if so is it worth it, does it make much of a difference, and has anybody done this, and any advice on hoses and source of intercooler and mounting details. Somebody told me Diamondhell may have done this?

Yeah, I've fitted one.
Out of a MKII Golf GTD. SB or RA engine code.
Chop the end plastic moulding off and mount it up in the N/S quarter, behind the tail-lights.
Motorbike fan will improve the airflow.
Bit of steel tubing well welded will see you right on the pipework - don't be tempted to use anything that can expand (like maybe contertina rubber hosing, as a theoretical frinstance) or it rather defeats the object of the turbo or intercooler........
