Westy underbody water tank.

Post by geordie skydiver »

I'm going to fit a LPG system to my van and I want the biggest tank possible under the rock and roll seat, I'm going to relocate the zig and the water tank and I wondered if there is a under body water tank available for the T25?

There is ... because my !987 LHD Westfalia has one... the bad news is that it was on it when I bought it, so I haven't a clue where to get one. Mine is an "official" Westfalia conversion converted in 1989 in Germany if that's any help?

The water tank on a westy is under the side cupboard alongside the rear seat, the under slung tank is grey water from the sink

CAK tanks make underslung water tanks suitable for a T25

You can download a catalogue or get one sent by post from:-

Catalogue.
page 6 - 045 307 merc 12GALLS/54L £116.35 (incl.f/kit)

page 11 - 065 villa 9GALLS/41L £69.68 (no f/kit)

page 10 - 166 spey 12.5GALLS/57L £76.99 (no.f/kit)

All prices include V.A.T.

045 & 065 are underslung type tanks but 166 would be suited to fitting
under rear seat of a T25 because it is narrower at the bottom than the top.
Really you need piccies to judge for yourself.
Fitting of underslung tank is by means of long perforated metal bands bolted through the van floor. This means that the easiest place to fit is underneath the sliding door which of course is on the wrong side of the van for the sink!
